ending.reflection part 1
with this semester coming to a close, it’s always good to take a look back at what you accomplished… so that you can have better insight on where you are headed. I will be doing a series of reflecting questions, and thoughts to ponder on as we get closer and closer to the end of this semester. this is part 1.. enjoy.
did you accomplish everything that you sought out to accomplish with this past school year?
if you did then you should be proud of yourself for pushing through obstacles and reaching the goals that you set for yourself..
if you didn’t accomplish your goals, what got in your way? what held you back? if it was yourself, what do you need to change within yourself to make it so that you dont get in your own way.
For a lot of people it is hard to place ourselves aside, and mature enough to gain the adult things that we may want. Though this sounds complicated, it’s not. Really, it’s the difference between sacrificing a party, so that you can study or instead of sleeping in just before class starts, we arrive there 10-15 minutes early. It says a lot about your character when you actually take the time to be on time.
Maturing is a difficult process, for some more than others. But at any rate, we all have to grow up eventually. when will you?

no sleep, make amends.
i went to sleep angry with someone last night, thus i did not sleep well. you should never go to sleep with any animosity between yourself and another person, especially if you truly care about this person. What if they died in their sleep? What if you died in your sleep? and the last emotion you felt was anger or annoyance? i know alot of people dont even look at it like that, but sometimes facing the nitty gritty reality of a situation makes it all the more real.
ALWAYS make amends with people, even if you feel that you werent in the wrong. It takes a strong person to admit their faults and ask for forgiveness. Be that strong person, and your character will feel rewarded.

so we ask ourselves, what does it take for us to be content in a world that is always asking for more? just take a step back, breathe… and there you go. life is all you need. well it should be, but we have become so wrapped up in the material that the making of who we are doesn’t even matter anymore. this saddens me. i am content with what i have. of course there is always more to accomplish, but everything has a purpose and good things come to those who WAIT.
just for today, take a second to realize how many things you have already accomplished this far in life, and just say “thank you”.

thankful.
Today is my fathers birthday, and in the past years we havent always seen eye to eye. of course we have had our ups and downs in our relationship, but as i have grown older i have began to see what his aim was the entire time. He didnt want me to be perfect, or to be like him… he just wanted me to be my best, and be myself… that’s all. i never saw this, being clouded by my own misguidance. Now that i look back on it, i regret not spending as much time with him.. or appreciating him more for the strong man that he is. BUT, we are better now. we talk, and we spend time together. Im not irritated all the time, and neither is he. He see’s me as a young man, and not as an irresponsible little boy. To me, that is one of the greatest gifts in the world.. the respect of my father. Thank you God for mending our relationship..Happy Birthday Dad :)
Be thankful for those in your life. Dont be afraid to tell someone that you love and appreciate them for who they are and the role that they play in your life. Even though you may not see their impact now, believe me, you will, sooner or later.

catch me rolling
on april second i will release my new single catch me rolling. To me the song is more than just a single. i spent alot of time perfecting my new sound after i released “The Beyond Fixation Compilation”… which is why i havent had anything out since. I was very happy with the product, due to its honesty, but i felt as if i needed to do more with my music. i wasnt reaching my full potential. I hope that you all appreciate the new variety of music that i will be coming out with from here on out.
